Nearly there…

Pen on banknote, next to a British Pound signWe’ve been fundraising for what seems like forever, though it has only been a couple of years (informally and formally).

At one point we thought we could do it all via promoting the idea on Twitter and Facebook, but we could never quite get the traction needed.

Hindsight, that wonderful thing that we all wish we had at the time, tells us that this project is just too complex and difficult to get over in a tweet, and, to be honest, everyone is asking for something, constantly, so the amount we wanted to raise, £50,000, was just too high at just the wrong time. That’s probably how most ideas go to die: apathy and high costs.

Like most project groups, we went off to lick our wounds and worry and go quiet.

But we also schemed (in a good way) and planned, and brainstormed.

We’re nearly there.

A long-suffering group of supporters have been good enough to keep a bit of money flowing in to us, and a few have splurged on membership fees, so we have at least a small base that have kept the lights on.

In the meantime, we went out to find a way to make the project work, which we’ve now done.

As luck would have it (if your luck comes from diligent research and finding ways to make it work) we can tap into some state funding mechanisms to cover quite a bit of the cost, all we need now is to cover the bit that can’t be covered due to state aid restrictions.

As of today instead of needing £50k to get on air, we need £7.5k. It’s still a lot, and no mistake, but we’re now so close it would be a shame to let GB News and TalkTV and others win, when we can be there to correct the lies and misinformation.

If you can, help us out by joining us as a member, or by donating (and spreading the word to your followers on social media, no matter the platform). We’re just £7.5k away from being able to hold power to account.

Thank you for all those who have helped us over the years, and we really hope you can help us make it over this last hurdle.
